Daily Motivation - YOU MAKE YOUR OWN OPPORTUNITIES

You Make Your Own Opportunities

Your destiny isn't a matter of chance, it's a matter of the choices you'll make in the coming year.

Success isn't something you wait for, it's something you must pursue in the months ahead.

Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities to be successful. Seize common occasions and turn them into great ones. Opportunities sometimes come disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat.

Start where you are. You're at this moment, standing right in the middle of opportunity.

If you act on your dreams you can live them in the New Year.
You have a lot to look forward to.

Happy New Year

Daily Motivation - YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING

You Can Achieve Anything

The only thing that stands between you and what you want from life, is simply the will to pursue it and the faith to believe that it is possible.

You can have anything on earth that you want, once you mentally accept the fact that you can have it.

If you want success, begin thinking of yourself as a success. The feeling of being successful has to come first.

If you have a deep inner conviction that you will always have all that you need, if you actually feel prosperous, it will be so.

Only your mind sets your limits.

Daily Motivation - LIVE AND ACT IN A SPIRIT OF LOVE

Live and Act In A Spirit Of Love

The place to begin to improve the world is in your own heart, head and hands.

To get along with others, love them without forcing your love upon them.
Imposing your beliefs on people will not bring you peace.

Have concern for others, respect their rights and freedoms, and let them be themselves. Do this and you will enjoy peace.

Having consideration for others is the basis of a good life. Most people are not against you, they are merely for themselves. Let differing ideas clash, but not those of the heart.

Peace comes to you when you live and act in a spirit of love.

No Matter How Busy You Are ...

No Matter How Busy You Are by Jim Rohn

No matter how busy you are, make sure to find some time over the next two weeks to reflect, think, give and plan.

The week between Christmas and New Year’s is the ideal time for this. Try to slow things down. Spend time with the ones you love and care about. Take some time to talk with your spouse and kids about goals and dreams for the next year. Use this as a time to recharge your batteries (and not just by watching TV the entire time), and with excitement, think about a handful of changes or additions you want for your life in the new year.

I believe you will find the act of reflecting, thinking, dreaming and planning (with your family) to be one of the most important exercises you can do that will positively impact the next 12 months.

And, remember, do not neglect to commit yourself to set this time aside, or you will find that the business of life can and will get in the way.

So, let’s all take a moment to gather up the past year of victories and defeats, growing as well as those times of stagnation, and use it to wipe a clean slate and thoughtfully design the next year the way we truly desire it to be.

THE "W" IN CHRISTMAS

THE "W" IN CHRISTMAS
Author Unknown

Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience. I had cut back on nonessential obligations -- extensive card writing, endless baking, decorating, and even overspending. Yet still, I found myself exhausted, unable to appreciate the precious family moments, and of course, the true meaning of Christmas.

My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting season for a six year old. For weeks, he'd been memorizing songs for his school's "Winter Pageant." I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd be working the night of the production. Unwilling to miss his shining moment, I spoke with
his teacher. She assured me there'd be a dress rehearsal the morning of the presentation. All parents unable to attend that evening were welcome to come then. Fortunately, Nicholas seemed happy with the compromise.

So, the morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in ten minutes early, found a spot on the cafeteria floor and sat down. Around the room, I saw several other parents quietly scampering to their seats. As I waited, the students were led into the room. Each class, accompanied by their teacher, sat cross-legged on the floor. Then, each group, one by one, rose to perform their song.

Because the public school system had long stopped referring to the holiday as "Christmas," I didn't expect anything other than fun, commercial entertainment -- songs of reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes and good cheer. So, when my son's class rose to sing, "Christmas Love," I was slightly taken aback by its bold title.

Nicholas was aglow, as were all of his classmates, adorned in fuzzy mittens, red sweaters, and bright snowcaps upon their heads. Those in the front row-center stage held up large letters, one by one, to spell out the title of the song. As the class would sing "C is for Christmas," a child would hold up the letter C. Then, "H is for Happy," and on and on, until each child holding up his portion had presented the complete message, "Christmas Love."

The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, we noticed her; a small, quiet, girl in the front row holding the letter "M" upside down -- totally unaware her letter "M" appeared as a "W". The audience of 1st through 6th graders snickered at this little one's mistake. But she had no idea they were laughing at her, so she stood tall, proudly holding her "W".

Although many teachers tried to shush the children, the laughter continued until the last letter was raised, and we all saw it together. A hush came over the audience and eyes began to widen. In that instant, we understood the reason we were there, why we celebrated the holiday in the first place, why even in the chaos, there was a purpose for our festivities.

For when the last letter was held high, the message read loud and clear: "CHRISTWAS LOVE" And, I believe, He still is!

Daily Motivation - NOTHING EXTERNAL TO YOU HAS POWER OVER YOU

Nothing External To You Has Power Over You

Great things are accomplished when you believe that what's inside of you is superior to your circumstances. What you have outside you counts less than what you have inside you.

You're more important than any of your problems. You're bigger than anything
that can happen to you.

Courage is a special kind of knowledge. It's the knowledge of how to fear what ought to be feared and how not to fear what ought not to be feared.

True courage is a result of reasoning. A brave mind is always impregnable.

Reality is something you rise above.

Daily Motivation - WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING

When You Thought I Wasn't Looking
Written by a former child
Author Unknown

A message every adult should read, because children are
watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a stray
cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my
favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things
can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a
prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to
and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal
and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that
we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your
time and money to help people who had nothing and I
learned that those who have something should give to those
who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of
our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to
take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled
your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and
I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow
up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from
your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but
it's alright to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared
and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's
lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive
person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and
wanted to say, 'Thanks for all the things I saw when you
thought I wasn't looking.'

Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher or
friend) influences the life of a child. How will you
touch the life of someone today?

Daily Motivation - IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN UNLESS YOU RUN

It's Impossible To Win Unless You Run

Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you're ready or not to put your plan into action.

It's up to you to take the first step. The first step will take some effort, maybe pain. But after that, everything that has to be done is real - life movement. Once you're moving, you can keep moving.

If you can get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed.

The only true failure lies in the failure to start. Eighty per cent of success is showing up.

Winning starts with beginning.

Daily Motivation - YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK

You Are What You Think

Whatever thoughts you plant in your subconscious mind and nourish every day with conviction and emotion will one day become a reality. Constant repetition carries conviction. Repeat something often enough and it will start to become you.

A change in what you tell yourself will result in a change in your behavior. What you impress upon your mind, you'll inevitably become.

Self suggestion makes you master of yourself.

It was just a Yellow Notepad...but it changed Everything!‏

It was just a Yellow, Legal sized Notepad, but it made this millionaire CEO's sales forcemore productive, less stressed and happier, at work and at home.

How could a simple yellow notepad have such power?

Here is the story:

The millionaire CEO gave each of his employees a yellow, legal sized notepad and a pen. He also gave them these instructions:

1. Carry the notepad and pen with you at all times during your workday. Keep it handy, and within reach.

2. In the morning write down a short "To Do" list in the notepad, list the things you want to accomplish that day.

3. During the day use the notepad to capture every name and phone number of anyone you talk to, write down email addresses, flighttimes and reservation numbers, meeting times and dates, record virtually every bit of important data into your yellow notepad.

Here is how they benefited from this simple positive habit, and how you can also, regardless of who you are, or what you do. (businessmen, housewives, students, CEO's, etc.)

1. When you need to call someone back, their number is always just a glance away.

2. What was that fight number again? What was that policy number the insurance agent gave you 3 days ago? What were the directions to the wedding? It's all in your yellow notepad!

3. It helps you keep track of your "To Do" list action items.

Your yellow notepad becomes a Rolodex, Meeting Planner, Map, and one stop source for all of your important information that you gather every day. (Remember how you used to jot down that information on little bits of paper?Remember how you could never find that one piece of paper with the phone number you needed?)

You will not believe how many ways this little positive habit will benefit your life! You will be less stressed, more efficient at everything you do, and your friends, relatives and co-workers will always know that you have the important information at your fingertips.

Buy a Yellow Legal Notepad today and get started!

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE.

There are no real barriers to your success.
You must simply overcome any doubts you have about your ability.
Your self image prescribes the limits for your accomplishments.
It prescribes the area of what is possible for you.

Don't be afraid of living.
Believe that life is worth living and you will create that fact around you.

Daily Motivation - SEE THE WORLD AS IT IS

See The World As It Is

The truth is what it is. It's neither good nor bad. It's simple reality.

Tailor your concepts to fit reality, instead of trying to stuff reality into your concepts. No matter what you believe, it won't change the facts.

If we all worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true is really true, there would be little hope of advancement in the world.

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. If fifty-million people say a foolish thing, it's still a foolish thing. Successful people are realistic and aren't trapped by false appearances.

Stay realistic on the road to success.

Do You Have a Trouble Tree?

Trouble Tree
Author Unknown

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job, a flat tire made him lose an hour of work & his electric drill quit, his ancient one ton truck refused to start. As I drove him home, he sat in stony silence.

On arriving he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. Upon opening the door he had undergone an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do at the little tree.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again."

"Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

Daily Motivation - ARE YOU A DREAMER OR AN ACHIEVER

ARE YOU A DREAMER OR AN ACHIEVER

The courage to begin separates dreamers from achievers.
Your difficulty and the difficulty of everyone who ever desires to achieve anything worthwhile comes in the movement.
Don't always be intending to live a new life but never find a time to begin living it.

Most people fail because they never get started,
They don't go they don't overcome inertia, they don't begin.
Begin to free yourself at once by doing all that is possible with the means you have.

As you proceed in this spirit,
The way will open for you to do more.
The worst you can do is not to try.

Daily Motivation - WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET

What You See Is What You Get

The realities of life result from many outside factors, none of which you can control. Your attitude, however, reflects the way in which you evaluate what's happening to you.

It is not your situation, it's your reaction to the situation that's important. Things always seem to turn out best for those people who can make the best out of the way things turn out.

Life at any time can become difficult. Life at any time can become easy. It all depends upon how you adjust yourself to life. You cannot always control your circumstances. But you can always think positive thoughts.

There is nothing either good or bad, only your thinking makes it so.

Daily Motivation - Wanting To Win Is Everything

Wanting To Win Is Everything

Success is connected with continuous action. It's largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go. You're not finished when you're defeated, you're only finished when you quit.

The most important quality essential to success is perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.

You can have a fresh start any time you choose. "Failure" is not in the falling down, but in the staying down. It's not over until it's over.

If you've got the courage to stick it out, you'll attain your goal. Winning isn't everything, but wanting to is.

Daily Motivation - YOU ALWAYS HAVE A CHANCE

You Always Have A Chance

You can do anything you wish to do, have anything you wish to have, and be anything you wish to be.

You don't know what you can really do until you try. All you have to do is to act on your dreams.

You have the power within you to do things you never dreamed possible. You would amaze yourself if you did all the things you're capable of doing. This power becomes available to you as soon as you change some of your beliefs.

Use your imagination and look at things as they can be. You know what you are today but not what you may be tomorrow.

Your success begins in your mind.
